I have always had a wide variety of tastes when it comes to reading and right now my tastes are becoming even broader, what with being a parent to a newborn and an almost two year old. I am always on the lookout for good parenting books to help along the way.
Two books on my nightstand presently are gifts from my sisters.
I’m reading Many Lives, Many Masters by psychotherapist Dr. Brian Weiss who documents the past life traumas of one of his patients. It is a fascinating read on past life regressions and one that I’m still trying to get my head around. The other book is a slightly lighter read entitled French Babies Don’t Throw Food by Pamela Druckerman, a very interesting as well as an enjoyable witty read. It is a sort of comparative study on parenting in the US and England compared to parenting in France.
When I have time between these books, writing, editing and promoting my own book and parenting two gorgeous little girls under two, I have two other books on my kindle which I’m determined to finish in the coming months, State Of Wonder by Ann Patchett. I read Bel Canto recently and fell in love with her writing. State of Wonder so far does not disappoint and finally to keep me motivated in my genre of writing I’m reading Sophie Kinsella’s I’ve Got Your Number which is highly entertaining and when I have the time to not put it down, I usually don’t.
