New Releases 3.7.16
A new book in the long-running Shopaholic series and a much buzzed about literary short story collection from an award winning author are the reads we can’t wait to dive into this week.
There’s nothing like a frothy Kinsella novel to cheer us up and make us smile. The delightful Becky Brandon (née Bloomwood) is back in another Shopaholic adventure. This time, our hapless heroine finds herself on an unexpected road trip to Las Vegas to find her father, who has somehow disappeared. We can’t wait to see what kind of mayhem will ensue as Becky must figure out how to save the day.
For something more literary, we’re interested in Oeyemi’s collection of intertwined stories centering on keys—from literal keys that can open a door to figurative keys that have the power to unlock a heart or a secret. The amazing advance reviews describes the book as “enchanting,” “addictive,” and, our personal favorite, “modern day fairy tales.” We’re always ready to be swept up off our feet, and Oeyeymi promises to do just that.
