Whether you’re taking off for summer holidays or just lounging by the pool take one of these great new books along with you!
We’re total junk food junkies over here so the title alone was compelling enough. This sweet (pun intended!) love story is about high powered, big-city attorney Ellen Branford, who finds herself in small-town Maine to fulfill her dying grandmother’s last wish—to give a letter to the boy she once secretly loved. Complications ensue and Ellen realizes that a quick, one day trip may not be enough—especially as she learns more about her grandmother and even herself. Perhaps a simpler life isn’t so bad at all….
Combining fact and fiction, this riveting read tells the story of Minna Bernays, the sister-in-law of Sigmund Freud. In a world where marriage is the only option for a woman, Minna refuses to settle and turns to her sister Martha for help. Minna is nothing like Martha—and soon Freud can’t help but be drawn in her by passion. A page-turner about love, honor and betrayal that also offers a rare glimpse inside the world of Freud.
We just finished this heart-wrenching debut novel and can’t praise it highly enough. A beautiful love story about Elsie and Ben, a young couple who don’t get the chance to enjoy happily-ever-after, it’s at turns, charming, poignant and surprising. As the story of the couple’s romance unfolds, we are also taken along as Elsie goes through the process of grieving and healing. You may want to keep the tissues nearby.
