Reading Sue Henry in Alaska
“I had never read one of Sue Henry’s mysteries before, but they were displayed in bookstores all over Alaska when I was there this past summer on a cruise with my husband. I bought Murder on the Iditarod Trail which is about an actual Iditarod race that turns particularly deadly. I picked up this one at the lovely Parnassus Books in Ketchikan. Besides being a fun and fast read, all of the details on the Iditarod served me well later when I actually visited a husky summer camp. There weren’t any murders happening, but all the details Sue had peppered her mystery with came to life for me in wonderful ways while there.”
