Week 1 – Shelf Pleasure’s 2016 Reading Challenge
We’re off! Welcome to week one of Shelf Pleasure’s 2016 Reading Challenge. The goal of this challenge is to read 52 books in 52 weeks. We’ll offer themes and suggestions throughout the year, but we really want you to choose and share the 52 books that speak to you.
After a lot of family drama this holiday season, we decided to start our 2016 on a lighter note. To that end, we’re kicking off the reading challenge with the book that was one of our closest childhood friends, A Wrinkle in Time. We haven’t read it since grade school and we’re excited to revisit and see what hidden treasures we missed
when we first read it.
We’re excited to connect with you all and discover your personal picks. Friends are great…but friends who read are even better. Here’s to new book friends!
Please share your first read in the comments of this post or on our Facebook page. And keep checking in with us as the challenge and the year progresses. We’ll be sharing all sorts of book fun to keep you motivated!
